I am, like a lot of people, busy this week preparing for Thanksgiving. At the same time, I am contemplative . . . thinking of the things I have to be thankful for. This image is of our dock . . . come, sit with me awhile and give thanks.
This past week, I went to Holmes Beach, Florida. I was near there to speak at a luncheon and since I had to drive down the day before I was to speak, I took the opportunity to go over to the beach. The beach is where I get renourished - salt air and salt water feed my inner self. As it turned out, a storm was moving in from off shore. There was not much color in the view so I converted this image from color to black and white.
Here is another picture from Cloudland Canyon State Park. The image was taken from across the canyon from where we stayed in a cabin.
Then on Thursday we went to DeSota State Park in Alabama. As we were driving over there I caught sight of some turkeys in a field. This turkey was one of several. The cool thing is it was almost completely white.
