Chapel at Callaway Gardens

There is a beautiful chapel at Callaway Gardens - Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel. I got to sit in there almost by myself for over an hour. This was during our workshop with Marti Jeffers in the spring of 2011. It was my birthday and I enjoyed the beauty and serenity.

Iconic Callaway Bridge on Golf Course

This is a bridge on the golf course at Callaway that is often shown in photographs. It is an HDR image from three photographs taken at wide angle.

Callaway Chapel

Here is a picture from the Chapel at Callaway Gardens. Mitch and I were fortunate to participate in a week long workshop back in April, with Marti Jeffers. What a great experience, shared with several other participants who we had never met and an old friend. It was also a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday.

Lucky

The image that shows as my profile was recently published in our local newspaper. I felt privileged that they selected a picture of mine for their kick-off of a new style to the paper.

SoFoBoMo/Decatur County Courthouse

Last year I participated in the SoFoBoMo (http://www.sofobomo.org). This is where you publish a book of your photographs by taking the pictures and publishing within a 31 day period. It was a lot of fun. I took pictures of the courthouses in the small counties around us. It was also HOT! in June when I did this last year.

I am eager to participate again this year. However, I am rethinking my photograph collecting with an indoor theme. I haven't yet decided what my book is going to be about but I have signed on the dotted line to participate. So, we'll see . . .

This is an image from last year. It is the Decatur County Courthouse.

Wormsloe Avenue of Oaks

This image has been used numerous times by many photographers. However, on a recent trip to Wormsloe, I just had to take this photograph. Maybe it is a cliche' but having been there . . . it is beautiful.

Dandelion

We did some macro work this week. My husband was shooting Azaleas and they were pretty. However, when he brought this in I was excited. It was fun!
