Last year I participated in the SoFoBoMo (http://www.sofobomo.org). This is where you publish a book of your photographs by taking the pictures and publishing within a 31 day period. It was a lot of fun. I took pictures of the courthouses in the small counties around us. It was also HOT! in June when I did this last year.
I am eager to participate again this year. However, I am rethinking my photograph collecting with an indoor theme. I haven't yet decided what my book is going to be about but I have signed on the dotted line to participate. So, we'll see . . .
This is an image from last year. It is the Decatur County Courthouse.

New Beginnings
A month ago I had occasion to meet my parents at the cemetary where my maternal grandparents and my brother are buried. My Mom and Dad will eventually have burial sites there as well. We went to trim some shrubbery and do some clean up. I took a few pictures, not really sure why, just did.
I recently entered this image in a small contest on a photographers web site. The contest was based on what Easter means to us.
One of the things that is really important to me about Easter - these stones do not mark the end of a life. They mark a beginning . . .
Spring is a beginning . . .
I am in a beginning mood. Part of that is based on my feelings about these stones . . .
I want to make difference before I get to this point. I want to be sure to have lived not just existed.
Join me . . .
Of course, tomorow is my birthday. That certainly gives one pause. Happy Birthday to me!
